This immersive program challenges young designers (middle and high schoolers) to explore the entire spectrum of design—from tiny digital details to massive, real-world structures. We don’t just teach software; we teach the Design Thinking process used by top professionals to solve complex problems across disciplines. You’ll learn to think like a graphic designer, an engineer, and an architect, all in one program!

Students will participate in a comprehensive capstone project that requires them to use all three disciplines:

  1. The Concept: Invent a new, sustainable community resource (e.g., a community library or tech hub).
  2. Graphic Design: Design and illustrate the visual concepts, characters and interactive elements for the resource and ideation.
  3. Industrial Design: Explore, design and verify different product ideas from different product categories (furniture, electronics, sports, etc ) from ideation, rendering to 3D prototypes.
  4. Architecture: Design the building’s floor plan and a 3D physical model, ensuring it meets structural and accessibility requirements.

This hands-on, sequential process demonstrates how design disciplines connect in the real world, providing a robust portfolio piece and clarity for future college and career choices.
